BarCamp Saigon
Last weekend I gave a short presentation at the first "BarCamp Saigon". It was organized by some expats and Vietnamese interested in the tech sector. Most of the participants and presenters were technical, but there were a few business peeps such as myself. I met some interesting people -- it was a little slice of Silicon Valley right here in Saigon!
How come I didn't see your presentation on the board. Shouldn't have missed it. :(
Anyway, thank you for sharing the slide.
1 question: is Caravat going the "hard" of "soft" way of making money? I tried it, but there's not much to do there, yet. I guess Caravat still have some tricks up its sleeve.

@Sonny: Caravat definitely is going in the "hard value" direction. Stay tuned...
@Kevin: troi oi, will try to find some time to re-upload. Dunno why it works here but not on Slideway. Thanks for the kind words :-)
@Anh Hung: Ya, I'm interested in your thoughts about Caravat.

@Sonny: Howdy Sonny, Caravat has launched its latest feature, that's People Search.
Many of people you know may already be on Caravat. You can search them out by name, email, company or university. So, keep in touch with your valuable business contacts has never been this easy ;-)

The presentaion is concise, informative, and CLEAR (buzz word from the presentation). There is a lot of "take home" material. You did a good job.
Speaking of marketing, I couldn't help but notice on the slide "What is This Site About", the ad for High School Musical 3. Even in Vietnam the preteens are excited about High School Musical. Your second cousin Becky (11 years old) couldn't wait to see it. She had to earn it however, by being on time for school for a week. Mom Michelle took Becky and a friend to the movie. It's a small world.

Sorry I missed your presentation at BarcampSaigon. Do make sure to check out the mention at the end of the "ClueTrain" post on www.Gapingvoid.com . This is an influential blog and a mention here is really something nice: http://www.gapingvoid.com/Moveable_Type/archives/2008_11.html

Thanks Chris for your great presentation. I really enjoy your session and unfortunately, you didn't recognize the designer of Caravat.com in the crowd :)

So what is the purpose with caravat, to be a local linkedin clone? Anyways, it looks good and the slideshow was nice.

Thanks Chris for the presentation.
We all are waiting for both branded utility and finding C-level positions on a network of experienced professionals.
Hope Caravat.com will be successful.
